Even if Paul was cursed and cut off from God's love, Paul desperately wanted his own race, Israel, to be saved, so he prayed for them with unending pain in his heart. These days, I prostrate myself in front of the Lord and pray earnestly for all the members of our church to experience salvation, enjoy deep fellowship with the Lord, and live a happy life of faith with joy. I pray with the heart of Paul this morning too.

God gave Israel the blessing and privilege of possessing the covenant and the law, and above all, allowed them to enjoy the glory of giving birth to the Messiah, Jesus Christ, from their lineage. However, Israel, who received such grace and privilege, rejected Jesus. That doesn't mean that God's promise has disappeared. Now, that promise is fulfilled not through lineage Israel, but through those who have become true Israel in Christ. God's choice in relation to Esau and Jacob was made from God's mercy, mercy, and sovereignty, which did not involve any human action, and it was God's grace, not my actions. Even his son received mercy through the sovereign love and grace of God who generously gave it up for me. So, I received the gift of faith in Christ. So, now that I live as a child of promise (Jacob) rather than a child of the flesh (Esau), I will also preach the gospel with the heart of mercy that Paul had.
